Over the past few years, i’ve always watched EDC Las Vegas from afar, living vicariously through their livestreams of some of my favorite DJ’s sets and stalking photographers on instagram to see their epic shots from the festival. I never thought that I’d actually ever end up on the Las Vegas Speedway for this event. It seemed too grand, to hectic and just out of reach as I was getting into the scene. Then one day, something popped up on my calendar… “EDC Las Vegas…” could it be!?
Walking… actually flying onto the grounds was an experience all on it’s own, flying over the Vegas Strip and passing the endless snake of brake lights sitting in traffic and doing a circle around the entire festival as fireworks and flames shot up into the air… magical.
We didn’t start until 4am, but the crowd had just as much energy if not more than the previous acts. We blasted off with a new set, dropped some new music and had some friends come and join the performance.
The sun came up, we flew back to our hotel and crashed for a minute before flying home again.
It was all a blur in the moment, but reflecting back and watching the footage, makes me want to do it all over again!
